John Williams' Film Night, one of the most eagerly-anticipated evenings of the Tanglewood Season, takes place on Saturday, August 22. Conductor Keith Lockhartand the Boston Pops will be joined by guest conductorDavid Newman for what has become one of the signature events of the Tanglewood season. The first half of the program, led by David Newman, will feature a salute to Paramount Pictures, featuring music from films includingForrest Gump, Sunset Boulevard, Sabrina, and The Godfather, among others. Keith Lockhart will lead the second half of the program, devoted to John Williams' famous movie scores, including Jurrasic Park, Jaws, andStar Wars, and also featuring violinist Gil Shaham.
